The Albany Sushi Meetup Group
A relatively new Sushi Cafe, we are trying this place on references only. Located in Price Chopper Plaza on Rt. 85 and New Scotland Road, its sister restaurant is closer to Albany Med. Slingerlands Sake Cafe has more room and we are hoping to reach our limit.
Not having actually attended the Sake Cafe I looked at their website and the reviews were all positive. Let’s all find out together.

If it’s anything like the one near Albany Med (which we gave a rating of 4.3 / 5) it should be quite good, a touch trendy, with a somewhat classy and relaxed ambiance.
I’ve been to the Sake Cafe several times. It is a little on the small side and last I knew it was still without a liquor license. Their Godzilla roll was outstanding but they seemed to lack the ability to make a Spicy Maki combo that really stands out.
